Things I Wish I Knew Before I Started a Business

My name is Darlene Ziebell. Early in my career I bought my first business. Everyone I had access to made it sound easy. I recently read that 85% of all  businesses fail in their early startup phase.  I learned a lot through my failures and mistakes.   Through these challenges, I’ve been able to make 4 of my businesses experience tremendous customer growth in a short period of time. However, that growth came with many unexpected challenges; challenges that most experienced business owners won’t talk about.  From funding a startup through exiting your business, I’ve been there.  And there are many stages in between when operating a business:  Launch, Growth, Maturity and Decline.  I’ve made those stages work.

Let me share these experiences and work with you to guide your business to its greatest potential.  I’m willing to share my successes as well as any mistakes to help you avoid the challenges I was exposed to.  Wherever you are in your business lifecycle, I’m sure I can guide you.  Click on the service below that best describes where you need the most help with your business today.  If you are not sure where to start, consider signing up for my webinar called  “Success Through Failure.”  In this webinar I discuss the various phases of business where owners should direct their attention to achieve their greatest success.

How Do I Know If I Need a Business Consultant?

What is Business Consultant?
Business consulting is the process where an experienced advisor helps entrepreneurs achieve their business goals. Use a business consultant to help you with strategies and techniques to create a successful business. Using the advice of an experienced consultant may help you increase revenue and steady business profits. Learn specific marketing and business skills and boost clarity about your business vision.
How Do I Know if Business Consulting Is Right for Me?
If you are an entrepreneur struggling to reach your financial goals, facing partnership challenges, seeking effective marketing plans, experiencing employee issues, or not sure what your business legacy is, perhaps you should consider an experienced business advisor to point out potential landmines and walk you through potential solutions.
Do You Only Work With Established Companies?
Not only do I work with established companies, I help many people create startup plans. Experienced in a variety of industries, I advise those companies selling or creating products, services, non-for-profits, education, manufacturing,  governments and others. Learn how to create a plan that includes strategies for future potential business issues. Failing to plan is planning for failure.
Do You Offer Ongoing Consulting Services?
I offer consulting services for all stages in the life of your business.  From startup to exit strategies.  Begin by enrolling for my online webcasts or call me to discuss a customized consulting program that meets your needs.
What is the difference between a coach and a consultant?
A business coach works with you to develop the skills you already have.  They bring out the best in you.  A business consultant is an expert you turn to for help with your business.  They teach you skills you don’t know.  They are well versed in business strategy which they use to help you gauge the direction and scalability of your business. They analyze the goals you have for your business and help you create a plan of action required to actually accomplish those goals!
